"Let me ease the pain of life."

Today is a holy-day. Or as they say His "birthday". I can't believe people can be too absorbed in a concept they won't ever fully understand. I don't believe there are specific holy-days of the year. Every day is holy, no need to go assigning it to some events and anniversaries of dead people. To assign is to confine and to define it on necklaced beads (muslims & catholics), statues and faces of "god" is to give it the possibility of destruction. God is invisible. The glory of the holy materials belongs to the devil. I don't need a holy material to get God access(not even the sign of the cross).

Anyway, there's no certain season to be truthful so I'll insert here a historical (not his-story) fact.

Christmas was completely banned in England by Oliver Cromwell, and many of the early English settlers to America kept that rule in effect. It was banned because it had pagan roots and has nothing to do with the birth of Christ whatsoever.

"For preventing disorders, arising in several places within this jurisdiction by reason of some still observing such festivals as were superstitiously kept in other communities, to the great dishonor of God and offense of others: it is therefore ordered by this court and the authority thereof that whosoever shall be found observing any such day as Christmas or the like, either by forbearing of labor, feasting, or any other way, upon any such account as aforesaid, every such person so offending shall pay for every such offence five shilling as a fine to the county."
From the records of the General Court,
Massachusetts Bay Colony
May 11, 1659

Christmas wasn't a popular festival in the United States until the Victorian era. It was largely the popularity of Charles Dickens and his book A Christmas Carol that put Christmas celebrations on the map. Even in England, there had been many Protestants who refused to celebrate Christmas, but the peer pressure of being called a Scrooge caused many to cave in and turn back on their beliefs.

Last year, I would have sobbed if I haven't made the cut of "happiness" on Christmas eve..but now I see things better. What made me who I am today? It is my desire to seek the truth and to understand it with reasoning. This brain was given to me to use it all the time. I can reason with faith and not to believe in things just because it feels right or just because I fear going to hell. Questioning everything that was given to me by society definitely makes sense.

Not just in religions but also in media and the study-work-family-die society (which I later learned as the human farming agenda). Basically, this year consisted of a series of awakenings out of many dreams I was doubting for the longest time at the back of my head. Only when one does take herself out of the picture will she see the entirety of it.

Just think:
you are like everyone who has favorite authors, sports, tv show, movies, songs...and the list goes on. It only promotes one thing: the boosting of one's ego as the most important thing to dedicate your life to (it's all about me & MY life). It may sound like a part of life but it's roots are manafactured..things you can simply live without. One of the reasons it is promoted is for you to be an active participant of consumerism (to keep the society going) and to keep capitalism alive
.

As you may reflect on it, this identity leaning on one's ego are simply indifferent to the suffering world (what is the connection of your favorite song to the people who die of hunger everyday?). It keeps one distracted (long enough) from being concerned with the real issues of the world and also on life. If one would take a look at oneself and put it in the context of the universe: one would simply be slapped with reality: one is nothing but a speck on a tiny planet.

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. -Matt
